I was switching jobs around the time of the last update (2019). TLDR; I was working doing devops for a major network equipment manufacturer until 2025. After several years building the product infra and the devops team a leadership change occurred which didn't support my values so I was "encouraged to leave".
After taking several months off I contemplated retiring but there is just too much cool stuff to learn about.
That lead to me migrating this site from drupal 6.x to 11.x and migrating the hosting to AWS Lightsail.
I've spend the last couple of weeks working on the observability stack which wasn't really an option with my previous host.
When I've got that in a publication ready format I'll run through the tooling and configuration. Spoiler: the norm of Prometheus, Grafana and a bit of special sauce.
